How is your day?

18 Mar

We live in this world where I ask you how you’re doing

And you say “good” or possibly “fine”

We live in this world

Made up of one line replies

Because the scratches on us don’t like to surface

So we remain above it

Hover over each-others wounds and skeletons

with great care and tact

We live in this world of masquerades

And superficial balancing acts

I’m giving you forewarning

That I will prod, push, and invade

Cross your boundaries and borders

In an attempt to escape

And it all begins with an honest answer

To a simple question,

“How is your day?”
